ONLINE ASSESSMENT IN HIGHER EDUCATION DURING PANDEMIC OUTBREAK: CHALLENGES AND EFFECTIVE PRACTICES

Educational activities have been shifting to online mode due school closures during the Covid[1]19 pandemic. Thus, of education introduces new ways teaching and assessment. Both formative summative assessments conducted online, which proved be challenging ineffective. stakeholders are in trouble this transition education. Considering very important issue, research is planned investigate challenges possible effective practices assessment higher A qualitative approach was adopted collect data from university teachers through a semi-structured interview guide. Thirty were involved study convenient sampling techniques. All collected analyzed by adopting thematic analysis The findings identified following key for teachers: (a) poor less participation students classes; (b) quality learning management system other applications get connected with students; (c) cheat exams submit plagiarized work. As exploring practices, suggested following, should based on an open-book strategy but prepared this; invest developing infrastructure teach online; develop policy handle malpractices students. results also discussed help available research.
